In Australia, travelling with pets has become such a common experience. After all, your furry little friend is part of the family, and it feels only right for them to join you on your cross country adventures.
As a pet-friendly platform, Harvest Inn is working hard to make it easy to include them on your travels. However, it’s also important to consider your pet’s safety and other logistical factors when planning a stay with Harvest Inn.
Harvest Inn stays with pets
Harvest Inn is partnering with many fantastic venues that would love to host you and your pet.
While each host will have their own set of guidelines, there are a few things you should consider as a general courtesy when travelling with your pet.
This includes things such as keeping them leashed at all times and not allowing them to roam freely around the property. It’s also important that you don’t leave them unsupervised for long periods of time, in case they get scared or restless.
For a number of reasons, some hosts have a strict no pets policy for guests staying at their venue. This can range from things like biosecurity hazards to the risk of pets disturbing crops, livestock or other working animals.
It would be both disruptive and unsafe to have pets on the premises in these instances.

How to find pet-friendly hosts
If you’re interested in bringing along a furry family member for your Harvest Inn getaway, finding a host that will happily welcome your pet is simple. All you need to do is select the ‘Pets welcome’ filter when searching our host network.
When requesting a stay, you just need to tick the travelling with pets option to inform the host. If there are any additional guidelines or requirements for having your pet on the premises, it will be included in your welcome email from the host prior to your stay.
